The host system writes data to the DupliDisk3 as though it were an ordinary hard drive. The data is written simultaneously and securely to both hard drives, thereby maintaining a constant mirror of all data. In fact, we do this at the block level so it does not matter what the data is or how the drives are formatted.

If a hard drive should fail, the DupliDisk3 automatically switches to the remaining drive and alerts the user that a drive has failed. Then, depending on the model, the user can hot-swap out the failed drive and re-mirror in the background.

DupliDisk3 comes in many different form factors including a PCI version, bay mounts that fit in standard drive bays, and even complete solutions such as the RAIDcase which has two hot swappable drive bays built in.
